*wakes up from lethargy*
Ok, so, where were we? Oh, right, new modpack.
The thing I wanted to try this time is another community map, with not much exploration (for the server) and yet, lots of things to do.
The thing is that it is a quest-oriented map.
What does it mean is that players are supposed to create a team, and register other players in it so that they share the same quests.
It's great because it means players will have to work together, it's not great because it means that the team owner and the new player must be online at the same time for the registration.
The modpack I'm talking about is REGROWTH
The idea is that AAAAALL the biomes are Wastelands. No exception. Trees are just deadlogs and you can't make planks with it, and there is no ore in the ground.
Recipes are then heavily modified.
The main mods are HQM QuestBook, of course, and AgriCraft/Botania, because all the resources you will get are from crops.
But you can (and must) also play with bees, magic, and later in the game, with Applied Energistics 2.
I tried it and got pretty far, The thing I will not allow are Sprinkler for the crops, as they destroyed my framerate & my latency on my computer, and I'm pretty sure it will make the same on the server
I choose this modpack because it is a radical change to the way you gather ressources, and the fact that all biomes are wasteland & that no ressources are on the ground means that there will not be much exploration.
So, what are your first reactions?
