I haven't been able to access my computer for about a month or something, so I haven't been able to use ATLauncher (or play Stardew Valley, for that matter).

I tend to get overwhelmed pretty quickly in modded but I'll try to get on (once I can) and mess around with some stuff!

I've been on, but mostly on weekend evenings east-coast US timest (have been traveling most weekdays the last few weeks). Have been focused primarily on increasing the production of mana in Botania (for no reason other than "it is there"). I increased the size of the tree farm as my munchdews are quite voracious for leaves. Have created an endoflame setup which consumes coal blocks - currently hand-fed. To level up further, I will have to fight a Botania boss, which I've never done so have been avoiding it...

Oh, and I did get a little bored, so created a new single-player 1.9 vanilla world the other day and derped around in it for a few hours. I like to go back to the simplicity of vanilla once in a while.

Hehe, awesome ^^

I was wondering for a few weeks about the usage of the server and it is now clear that you may all be tired of this map.

Do you want to change for something else ? I have other things that I can set up.

Considering a lot of mod devs are already putting out versions for 1.9, I think there is enough mods to do a fun 1.8 pack. Some I can remember that are updated are IC2, Blood Magic, and Build Craft. As well as some pretty cool new mods, Intangible and PSI

I've been watching a lot of a pack called TerrFirmaPunk. But it requires knowledge of the base Terrafirmacraft mod to be any good. This is knowledge I do not have though, seeing how I don't even do modding for MC. lol

A Terrafirmacraft modpack would be pretty interesting. Progression is slow - making an iron pickaxe would take hours and hours of gameplay by yourself.

Edit: Might not be clear by my original comment - I'd like to try this if other people are interested. You can still get into more complex mod stuff if you find a pack or configure one yourself, but it still takes a while. That would be more endgame stuff I think. Food is probably one of the most important priorities, especially for mutliplayer.

All I can say, is if you do do TFP, one of the high priorities would be a cellar. It DRASTICALLY slows down food decay.

Remember that the main concern of a theoretical new modpack is ram & CPU usage, it has to be easy on the main server.

I don't know the ram & CPU usage of TFC to be honest, but as soon as we are dealing with real world generation, decay, gravity, it is a real concern

TFC also tends to involve a lot of world exploration. I don't think there's any way to explore fast enough to crash the server like I did in 1.4.7, but the world file would get pretty large

Ah yes... The world size would become huge. Because there's an actual north and south, with specific things only found in those locations. Gunpowder barrels are RIGHT out, because of how much calculations have to happen when BOOM! Not to mention the sappers who cart around TNT and drop active TNT as their attack. Plus it snows a whole lot more in the north and could seriously slow down the server.
So then it probably wouldn't work for this particular community. Well now I feel a little bad for bringing it up, but not too bad. ;) It COULD have been a good idea. lol

I have two ideas of a community map like sky factory.

I won't bring up those ideas right now, I need for you to tell me if you want to move on to another modpack or if you'd rather give sky-factory another few months of play

Oh, I vote for a new pack. That is if I get the opportunity to partake this time around. Which knowing my track record, isn't much ;P.

I am a bit late with this comment, but I will add in my two cents with TerraFirmaCraft. A long time ago I ran a TFC server for the admins. Basic set up, don't remember the specs on it, but it was Creeperhost's third option, made for smaller groups. With around 10 players total, and maybe 4 online at a time, things got dicey with disk space. I don't remember the impact on the CPU, but Moly is right with the toll that decay and gravity will take.

Aside from that, you have to be dedicated to play TFC. It's not for the faint of heart.
