I was able to log in with no problems. I deleted AT launcher, re-downloaded it, installed it, and then installed the mod pack with the code.

I was able to get on, and so was a friend of me. I'm pretty sure I didn't break anything with the config, I juste disabled some "check for updates" messages and remove some breaking blocs effects.

Trying something. Reseting the server as fresh, no config, no nothing.
If this is not fixing the issue, I'll think of something else.

More news in an hour.

Wow, Jade.. Lucky you!

I just tried a couple of iterations of clean installs.. used java launcher, then native launcher (not sure if there's any functional difference, but tried anyway).. still no go.. same exact error as my first try.

Not that I have time to play today, just wanted to see if I could log in.. ah well..

My experience is a failed one.

Tried with a brand new server with no config, juste the code I gave. no luck.
I could log, Hawk couldn't.

I tested about an hour ago when it said 1 online, still couldn't get on. Its even more of a confusing problem because Jade got on without issue, so the problem is selective.

My fps problem seems to be gone though, which it should be. 4.1GHz hexcore should play minecraft way better than a 2.8GHz dual core.

I hope everything gets worked out soon so everyone else can log on and play, too! I'm not sure why I can get on and no one else can. It's definitely very, very strange!

log in server side is inexistant. The only thing written is "xxxx tried to log with 190 mods", followed by a java IOException Broken Pipe, and this error can have about 150 different origins.

Do you have something on log client side ?

Moly - Thanks for continuing to troubleshoot! Don't let it drive you crazy!

Here are client-side logs/crash reports generated this morning. Unfortunately traveling the rest of the week so won't be able to try to get on (but will still follow the forum at least once a day).

Log (in ATLauncher folder): http://pastebin.com/KM7m6TFU

Crash Report: http://pastebin.com/yp7hkGuP

Log (in BeastSquish instance folder - may be the same as the above): http://pastebin.com/JzJe5LYC

thanks for the log, SwampGoat, Hawkertech show me the exact same thing with the "Ticking Screen" error.

A quite google search on that gave me two options that I'll try tonight (early afternoon for you 'mericans):
- Fastcraft
- MapWriter corrupted file (less likely as I tried with a brand new server and got the same error with Hawkertech)

Another was different java version between client and server that cause trouble, but I have java 8, and the server is in 7, and it works.

EDIT:
Another search with the exact error (not just the name) got me to another topic. They fixed it by Starting a Solo Map First, then log in.
I must say that this is promising.
- It is a "client side issue" as the server-sided log is clean
- I know I did created a solo map myself on my working instance.
- I'm pretty sure my friend did that too.
- When I tried to create a new instance and failed to log on the server, I never launched a solo map

Can someone try that ?

I tried logging into single player before going to the server, but I don't remember if I tried getting on first with that instance, I'll try again when I get home. I have 2 pairs of nearly identical log files if you want them

Did some testing, results were bad. Here's a list of what I did and what happened.
    Created a new ATL folder.
Created a new instance with the pack code.
Added optifine and fps+, as well as imported my settings files.
Backed up the entire ATL folder as a .7z archive, using really crazy setting so it took forever and probably wont be of any use to me.
Opened the game and made and entered a single player world.
Opened it to lan, walked around, and left.
    Tried to join the server.
    *Fatal Error, Connection Terminated*
Closed game and returned to the launcher.
Disabled fastcraft and opened the game.
Went in and left single player world.
    Tried to join server again.
    *Fatal Error, Connection Terminated*
    Gave up, returned to forums.
    Made inefficient list.
    Made meta list entries.

Ok, trying something else, then.
My last clues for this crash are fastcraft and mapwriter.
I disabled both.

Here is the new modpack share code : 3eMSc6yV

Please download & create a single player world with this code.
I can not set up the server yet, but if you want to try anyway I set up the server so that both are disabled but still included. worth a try

EDIT: Could'nt launch back the server, don't know why. I have to go to work, will debug this tonight.

Authentication servers are currently down and have been for a while. It's late here, but I'll try again tomorrow once I see that it's back up and running again.

I installed both your packs onto my server and could not get either of them to work correctly. Have you ensured the forge version in the correct one? all dll's are in place and permissions are correct on the folders?

I have not touch anything regarding forge version and dll location. I will make sure that the permissions are correct on the folders, but as Jadlef and I are able to join, I don't think that this is the issue here.

This is what I assumed you meant when you said "create a SSP world first"

What I meant by create a SSP world first was a fix that I read on a forum on RR3. The idea was to make sure the client has the proper config set up. Once the SSP world was join, the client was "fully" installed. Only then the players was able to play on Multi.
I liked this idea because it was cleary a "fix the client" bug fix. And as the server is clean of errors when a player join, I assumed the problem was client sided.
It seems that it was not the case.

it all works fine with my set up and the current version.

You send me your share code and I thank you for that. I'll check what is what and try to find the mod that cause the error.
